The Access Trust has been operating since 1998 as a non-profit organisation. The main activities of the Trust are: selecting suitable candidates, funding their training in selected courses that lead to skills that are in demand in industry, providing a student support service which includes monitoring and mentoring the students throughout their studies, assisting with placement into industry, and providing life skills input, mainly through workshops. The Access Trust has a proven track record of assisting and supporting over 3000 bursars and has built a creditable reputation in the TVET sector. In 2015 we seek to continue this trend by aligning our focus to the governments’ Critical Skills List 2014 and the Scarce Skills List 2014.
The Access Trust’s Mission is to enable capable young people from disadvantage communities to access skilled employment through studying at technical, vocational education and training (TVET) Colleges.
